WHY SPORT IS IMPORTANT FOR SELF-CONFIDENCE 

SPORT has a positive influence on us, on our self-confidence and is important at every stage of age. 

There is a simple correlation: doing sports, I'm fine, I feel good, my mind is good, I feel more effective and I can say I esteem myself. At the bottom there is “mens sana in corpore sano”. 

But that would be all very simple, straightforward, almost banal. 

The PSYCHOLOGY of self- esteem

Let's clarify what means to have a good self-esteem.

If you think about a person with a good self-confidence, you could probably think about : a realized person, serene, who face life with immediacy and responsiveness.

In fact, you don't have to be a superhero to have good consideration of yourself!!!!You don't need to be perfect!

For kids, it is important to grow up in a supportive environment that values the strengths, in this sense, sport is absolutely perfectt, right? 

We win, we lose, the coaches encourage us and the team is also more important. 

The word esteem includes: the ability to give a positive assessment, the positivity with which I weigh things, the ability to deal with problems, the ability to exploit the advantages and accept criticism positively, knowing how to take note of the thoughts of the other, to build situations of success and not of failure, give meaning to life and control, to be worthy of affection, show positive self-image ... basically to broadcast outside an interior wellbeing. 

The association of self-improvement and sport (among other life events) it is important to start building and then maintaining a good self-esteem. Sport helps to work as a team and also in individual sports, there are others with which to compare, and they can be our mirror; Sport is an excellence field in which to build successful situations, we learn the sense of control, responsibility and a good deal of judgment; Sport is a life situation in which we can show a positive image of us .... But when you have “bad days”, You lose the match and you are not able to achieve the results, what is important to do? 

The most important face of the self-esteem : realizing that we are not perfect, and keep in mind that persistence is the only way to obtain results. Self-esteem is the ability to have an objective perspective, of ourselves!

The ability to be conscious the successes and failures with serenity without being overwhelmed by extremes, the ability to understand other's opinion (think of the feedback from coaches, etc ...). 

 

Thinking about it, as a constructive criticism to improve, the ability to win even if sometimes the efficency is weak.
